BIOMETiC is growing and entering Germany/Bavaria
We are pleased to announce the foundation of BIOMETiC GmbH
Our German subsidiary will be responsible for our business in the DACH region and for strengthening our presence in the German market.
BIOMETiC has been involved in X-ray inspection technology for decades, initially through its parent company MiCROTEC, worldwide technology & market leader in the field of intelligent detection of wood properties for optimization in the wood processing industry.
“The technology MiCROTEC uses for scanning wood has been adapted to scan food. This allows BIOMETiC to benefit from MiCROTEC’s more than 40 years of experience and know-how in innovative inline biometric scanners and high-speed process optimization,” explains Frank Jöst, CEO of MiCROTEC and BIOMETiC.
With precisely this technology, BIOMETiC has achieved great success in the food industry in recent years and has become the market leader in the field of innovative 3D X-ray inspection systems. We want to build on this success and access new sales markets, which is why we have decided to expand.
The goal is to provide both sales and service through competent representatives in Germany who are familiar with the market along with the customers. The team has already gained precious experience in the industry over the last years and will now contribute to the growth of BIOMETiC.
“As CEO, we could get Hans Janik, who has been working in the field of quality control in the food industry for more than 30 years. He knows both the high demand for quality control but also the limitations of the conventional metal detectors and X-ray inspection technology of the market competitors”, continues Frank Jöst.
Hans Janik is convinced that the customers in the DACH region will be enthusiastic about BIOMETiC’s products and the innovation they bring. According to him, “we don’t need any convincing. Our customers already know the limitations of conventional technology and are open to any improvement!”
Our first joint appearance is the hotspot of the worldwide food and beverage industry Anuga FoodTec in Cologne from 26-29 April 2022 (Hall 5.2, Stand A068-B069).
